Leading product development on a web-based AI subtitling and translation video editor.
I own a large share of the platform end to end — the file system, the video editor, the mobile experience, billing, and the performance work underneath all of it. Built with React, Node.js and MongoDB.
- Designed and built the entire file and folder management system — nested folders, drag-and-drop organisation, move/rename/delete, and search — writing both the frontend and backend for desktop and mobile.
- Created the whole mobile platform for the video editor in React and Node.js.
- Cut page load times to under half through lazy loading, Vite bundle splitting, static-page caching, and CDN configuration for large file delivery — with measured gains in LCP, CLS, TBT and TTFB.
- Designed and built almost all landing pages with performance in mind, doubling search results within a few months.
- Extended the video processing service using Remotion on both frontend and backend, making the editor more robust and the output quality better.
- Integrated the GST registration API and built an automated invoicing system across frontend and backend, alongside other payment features.
- Instrumented analytics and conversion tracking with GTM and GA4 — custom events for login clicks, scroll depth and engagement.
